Team Foxstone

Georgia Hunt finished up a successful 2011 show circuit at “The Masters” tournament in Calgary, Alberta. Georgia Hunt of Foxstone Stable competed with her two horses Kenzo and Lady Like amidst an impressive field of International riders who travel to Spruce meadows yearly for this highly prestigious event.
The first day of the “Champions Welcome” started with top results. Kenzo, a 6 yr.old gelding sired by Foxstone’s resident stallion Kupido K, posted a fast and clean round to finish 3rd. He continued to hold his own in tough company, with top placings in classes for the duration of the show held Sept 1-4.
Georgia and her new mount Lady Like showed that they had quickly formed a great bond in the short month since Foxstone acquired her. They started out with a first place finish in the “Friends of the Meadows Welcome” The following day, Georgia and Lady moved to the 1.40m class and placed 4th in a field of top horses and riders. After a strong start, both horses and rider were in good standing to face the world’s best at “The Masters” held before record crowds of nearly 100,000 Sept 7-11.
“The Masters” tournament was off to a strong start with an exciting 2nd place finish for Kenzo in the “Techint Speed Cup”. Lady Like was clear in the 1.30m “Richardson Speed Cup” resulting in a 12th place finish against a field of over 45 world class riders.
The second day proved the team was comfortable in the “All Canada ring” as they posted another double clear round fast enough to take 1st place honors. Georgia bumped Lady Like’s former rider Richard Spooner (nick named the Master of Faster) into 2nd position with this impressive trip in the “Oxford Properties Cup.”
The third and final day proved to be another nail biter as Georgia and Lady had to settle for 2nd place in the “Keg Steakhouse Cup.”
With these incredible and consistent results, (top 12 in every class over 2 weeks on both horses)
Georgia had caught the eye of a few people at Spruce Meadows. She was asked to present herself on horseback in the “International Ring” before the featured 6 -Bar competition. With close to 70,000 spectators watching, Georgia was presented with “The Royal Sun Alliance Scholarship.” This bursary is awarded by a panel of judges to the rider they feel exemplifies sportsmanship, talent, style of riding, attention to detail and as an overall outstanding equestrian. Presented to her by Linda Heathcott, this prestigious award topped off an unforgettable Spruce Meadows experience.
Special thanks to Gail Greenough for her outstanding coaching, and to Krista Batty for her amazing care and dedication to the Foxstone horses. |

Foxstone is excited to add Recovery EQ to their highly successful team. Thanks to this fantastic supplement, Foxstone horses and riders are able to excel in this demanding sport and benefit from another outstanding product. We are so happy to be able to provide another top of the line product to those in our stable.
Here is why Recovery makes a difference...
Recovery, the award winning product commonly used to improve flexibility and relieve pain, is designed to address so much more than pain relief. Pain, spasm and inflammation are preceded by damage and irritation. Recovery helps to halt root damage and irritation and improve both cell stability and overall function so that horses recover ideally. To put it simply, Recovery promotes more youthful healing, and overall recovery from injury, surgery, chronic inflammation and pain.

A Huge Thank you to our Sponsors
Victoria Saddlery Recovery and Eastwin Farm
Looking Forward to a Fantastic 2012!
