Kupido K was imported from Holland in December 2006. This outstanding stallion has phenomenal jumping talent, wonderful temperament and exceptional bloodlines. Kupido has competed in Spain, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, England and Germany. He has won 6 CSI*** and CSI**** Grand Prixs, including Maastrtricht- Holland, Norten – Hardenburg- Holland, Eindhoven - Holland, Geesteren-Germany, Asona-Switzerland. Kupido continues to compete successfully from the Pacific Northwest to California. His offspring in the United States and Europe compete very successfully in Grand Prix jumping and Prix St. George level dressage. DVD available upon request.

His Sire, Grannus is considered a legend in breeding history. Grannus has sired 7 Olympic horses and over 80 approved stallions. This has made him one of the greatest sires in the world. Grannus, himself was a very successful show jumping winning championships all over Europe. By 1990, the annual prize money won by his offspring led the list of all German sires. Grannus offspring, to name only a few include: Grand Slam ridden by Nick Skelton, Grannusch ridden by John Whitaker, Top Gun ridded by Jan Tops and Moet Imperial ridden by Nelson Pessoa
His dam’s sire is the “preferent” G. Ramiro Z. His performance as a sport horse and breeding sire earned him the title “Stallion of the Century” and “King of Sires.” Ramiro was a international performer under the legendary Fritz Ligges, he has numerous wins at all levels of show jumping; Nations Cups, Puissance (jumping over 2.2 meters) and International Grand Prixs. It is impossible to list all of his successful progeny, but Ratina Z, his daughter, won 2 Olympic medals (1992 and 1996) and the World Cup of 1993, must be mentioned. This stallion influenced nearly all European Performance Studbooks. |
